The bouclé knit does all the work here. It catches the light and gives depth to a plain colour, where a standard ecru sweatshirt would sit flat.
The raw wide-leg jeans bring it back down to the ground. The contrast is sharp: soft and pale on top, stiff and dark below, with the beige belt tying the two together.
The crossbody bag and navy cap keep it young. Without them the knit polo drifts somewhere tamer, closer to a family lunch outfit.
